Confession Under Firelight 🔥

🌌 Night — The Hills

The world felt... still.

No traffic.
No voices.
No expectations.

Just the quiet crackle of fire
and the soft whisper of the wind.

Y/n sat close to the fire, her hands stretched toward the warmth.

But it wasn't the cold that made her heart feel restless.

It was him.

Beside her—

Park Jimin sat silently, his gaze fixed on the flames.

But his mind—

Was far from calm.

Her words from earlier echoed again and again.

"I think I got used to you..."

Used to him.

He exhaled slowly.

Because now—

He couldn't ignore it anymore.

💫 The Shift

Jimin:- "I don't think it's just that..."

His voice broke the silence.

Soft.

But firm.

Y/n turned toward him, confusion flickering in her eyes.

Y/n:- "Hmm?"

Jimin looked at her.

Properly this time.

Not as a friend.
Not as someone he met.

But as someone—

Who mattered.

Jimin:- "A few days ago... when you stopped replying the same way..."

He paused.

Searching for the right words.

Jimin:- "It bothered me more than it should have."

Her breath hitched.

Because—

Same.

He let out a quiet, almost nervous chuckle.

Jimin:- "I kept checking my phone like an idiot."

A small smile tugged at her lips.

Because suddenly—

She didn't feel alone in this.

Jimin:- "I thought it was just... curiosity at first."

His voice softened.

More honest.

More vulnerable.

Jimin:- "But it's not."

The fire flickered between them.

Casting shadows.

Making everything feel more real.

Y/n's heart started racing.

Faster.

Louder.

Uncontrollably.

Because she knew—

Something was about to change.

Jimin stood up.

Suddenly.

Her brows furrowed slightly.

Y/n:- "Jimin...?"

But before she could say anything else—

He moved.

And then—

Knelt.

Her breath stopped.

Completely.

Y/n:- "Wait—what are you—?"

Her voice trembled.

Not out of fear.

But because her heart couldn't keep up anymore.

Jimin looked up at her.

Eyes soft.

But certain.

Jimin:- "Y/n..."

Her name.

From him.

Felt different tonight.

Jimin:- "I don't know when exactly it happened..."

His voice was steady now.

Like he had finally found clarity.

Jimin:- "But I remember the moment I noticed you."

A pause.

Jimin:- "You were standing in the middle of chaos..."

Her eyes widened slightly.

Jimin:- "...calm, composed... like nothing could shake you."

Her throat tightened.

Jimin:- "And I think... that's when it started."

The fire crackled louder.

Or maybe—

Her heartbeat did.

Jimin:- "I tried to ignore it."

A small, helpless smile.

Jimin:- "But then you became part of my day."

Her eyes shimmered now.

Jimin:- "Your messages... your voice... your presence..."

He took a breath.

Deep.

Real.

Jimin:- "They stopped feeling small."

Silence.

Heavy.

Beautiful.

Jimin:- "Y/n..."

Her name again.

Softer this time.

Jimin:- "I think I've already fallen for you."

A tear slipped down her cheek.

Without permission.

Jimin:- "Not suddenly... not carelessly..."

His gaze never left hers.

Jimin:- "But in a way that feels real."

A pause.

Then—

The question.

Jimin:- "Will you be with me?"

The world disappeared.

No fire.

No wind.

No night.

Just—

Him.

Y/n couldn't speak immediately.

Her heart was too loud.

Her emotions too overwhelming.

All the confusion.

All the hesitation.

All the questions—

Faded.

Because in this moment—

Everything felt clear.

Her lips parted slightly.

Her voice trembling.

Y/n:- "...Yes."

A whisper.

But enough.

A soft, broken breath left her lips as more tears followed.

Y/n:- "Yes... I will."

Jimin's shoulders relaxed instantly.

Like he had been holding that breath for days.

He stood up slowly.

Stepped closer.

And then—

Pulled her into a hug.

Warm.

Safe.

Real.

Y/n closed her eyes, holding onto him tightly.

Because for the first time—

She wasn't holding herself back.

After a moment—

He pulled back slightly.

Looked at her.

And gently—

Placed a soft kiss on her forehead.

Not rushed.

Not intense.

Just...

Meaningful.

Like a promise.

They sat back down near the fire.

Closer this time.

Teasing.

Smiling.

Talking like nothing changed.

But everything had.

Because now—

They weren't just almost something.

They were real.
